NETSOL will be participating as an Exhibitor at the 2025 Non-Prime Auto Financing Conference, hosted by the National Automotive Finance Association (NAF). This year’s highly anticipated event starts today and will continue till June 6, 2025, at the Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel in Plano, Texas. Representing NETSOL at the conference will be Haider Naqvi, our Chief of Staff for the United States.

With the theme ‘Connection, Education, Innovation’, the 2025 NAF Conference promises to deliver valuable insights, opportunities for meaningful engagement and forward-looking discussions that address some of the most pressing challenges and emerging trends in the non-prime auto finance industry.

What is non-prime auto finance?

Before diving into what this event offers, it's important to understand the sector it serves.

Non-prime consumers fall squarely between sub-prime and prime credit tiers. Their credit scores are higher than those of sub-prime borrowers, but still below the threshold for prime classification.

Positioned at this critical midpoint, non-prime borrowers face a unique crossroads – they have the opportunity to either improve their credit standing or risk slipping further into sub-prime territory. As a result, their credit habits carry significant weight, given the substantial gap between the benefits available to prime borrowers versus the limitations faced by sub-prime ones.

According to credit bureau Experian, non-prime borrowers are those with credit scores generally ranging from 601 to 660 on the typical credit score range of 300 to 850. Keep in mind that credit score classifications can vary between lenders and organizations, but a score between 601 and 660 sits near the midpoint of the overall credit score range.

Just a few points shy of a 661 credit score, non-prime borrowers frequently miss out on access to the most competitive credit cards and loan terms. In contrast, prime borrowers enjoy broader access to credit products and more favorable interest rates due to their stronger credit histories and lower risk of default.

Non-prime borrowers may have limited credit histories, past credit challenges or lower credit ratings due to various life events. Because traditional banks and lenders often hesitate to finance these customers, non-prime auto finance plays a crucial role in providing access to reliable transportation – a necessity for employment, education and family needs.

This segment requires a nuanced approach to risk assessment, customer engagement and technology solutions that allow for inclusive and responsible lending practices. That’s where companies like NETSOL come in.

A closer look at this year’s theme: ‘Connection, Education, Innovation’

The 2025 theme captures the essence of what makes the NAF Conference a must-attend event.

Connection

In an industry driven by relationships and trust, connection remains at the core of everything. This conference facilitates direct engagement between lenders, technology partners, service providers and policymakers. NETSOL is particularly enthusiastic about forging new relationships and deepening existing partnerships. We believe that industry collaboration is key to tackling shared challenges – especially as the lending landscape becomes more complex.

Education

The auto finance industry is constantly evolving with new compliance requirements, market shifts and digital consumer expectations reshaping how business is done. The NAF Conference offers a rich educational environment where attendees can stay ahead of the curve. Sessions will cover topics such as:

  • Alternative credit scoring models
  • The role of AI in risk management
  • Trends in consumer payment behavior
  • Compliance and regulatory developments
  • Innovations in collections and servicing

As a company deeply embedded in the digital transformation of financial services, NETSOL looks forward to contributing to and learning from these conversations.

Innovation

The final pillar – innovation – is where NETSOL thrives. At Booth 18, we’ll be showcasing Transcend Finance – which is part of our unified, AI-powered Transcend Platform.

We’re excited to demonstrate how Transcend Finance can help lenders make faster, smarter and more inclusive lending decisions that ultimately benefit both their bottom line and the consumers they serve.

Why this matters more than ever

As the macroeconomic environment continues to shift with changing interest rates, inflationary pressures and evolving credit conditions, non-prime borrowers are increasingly looking for flexible and fair financing options. At the same time, lenders are seeking to modernize their systems, improve portfolio performance and manage risk with greater precision.

This makes the role of technology and data-driven decision-making more critical than ever. NETSOL is at the forefront of delivering these capabilities to the non-prime lending community, helping to create a more inclusive, transparent and resilient ecosystem.

Join Us in Plano, Texas from today (June 4) till June 6
